Los Angeles Angels star Mike Trout has been placed on the 10-day injured list with a right calf strain, the team announced Tuesday.
His recovery time is estimated to be six to eight weeks.
Trout left Monday’s game against Cleveland in the first inning with the injury. He was seen limping after running to third on an inning-ending popup.
The 29-year-old is slashing .333/.466/.624 so far this season and has eight home runs.
