At this point, the idea of Tom Cruise doing something as ordinary as laundry seems strange. The actor has become somewhat defined by his thrill-seeking, work ethic and fearlessness to do anything that makes for great action cinema.
Right now, the 60-year-old actor is hard at work filming “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two” in the UK. A couple recently walking their dog around the Lake District shared their experience meeting him during filming on the movie.
Cruise was being repeatedly helicoptered to the summit of the High Cragg ridge before soaring down to Buttermere lake below with helicopters following him filming the sequence. Talking with The Northern Echo outlet, the story pretty much sounds like quintessential Cruise:
“He was nice and polite and really humble. Tom Cruise apologized for the noise of the helicopters and asked if we were alright. He was making sure everybody who wanted to got their photos with him. We were the last ones to get his picture, and then he just paraglided off the mountain back to his camp next to Buttermere.
A video recently came out of a stunt Cruise filmed earlier this year in South Africa where he was strapped to a small WW2 biplane while in mid-air as it flew over the Blyde River Canyon.
“Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One” arrives in cinemas on July 7th next year, with ‘Part Two’ due out June 28th, 2024.
