Major iPhone contractor Foxconn’s factory in Zhengzhou is giving out as much as RMB 5,000 ($717) per person to attract more staff to work until March. The bonus is for temporary workers at the end of their contracts and willing to work from January to March 20, 2023. China will celebrate the Spring Festival in late January, with many entering week-long holidays for the Lunar New Year. Foxconn’s Zhengzhou factory has faced severe production disruption since late October as new Covid outbreaks and related control measures hit the region.
