Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane has admitted to Sky Sports that he felt Heung-Min Son made a mistake during his side’s game against Liverpool.
Not clinical enough?
Kane had put Tottenham 1-0 up early against Liverpool and at that time Antonio Conte’s side seemed to have the Reds on the ropes.
They were creating huge problems for the Liverpool defence, with Son and Kane looking particularly threatening on the counter attack.
Kane just overhit a pass to Son, which the £22 million South Korean international (Guardian) could not divert into the back of the net.

But Son was through on goal and in the clear just moments later.
The rapid forward is usually so calm in one-on-one situations, but this time he tried to take on Alisson, only for the Liverpool goalkeeper to clutch the ball at his feet.
And Kane admits he felt this was a crucial mistake from his teammate, as Spurs ultimately couldn’t pick up the three points in the game.

He said: “I think when we were 1-0 up we had two clear-cut chances. Sonny tried to take on the keeper, but got it a little bit wrong, but then the keeper made a great save from Dele, when Sonny played him in.
“At 1-0, if we scored both of them, the game would have been pretty clear – but we’re playing against a top side and you have to take your chances.”
Lacking a finishing touch
Kane, himself, was also guilty of missing a couple of glorious chances.
He flicked a header from close range over the bar, and also couldn’t quite convert a square ball when Alli knocked the pass across the box.
Tottenham’s overall performance is one which was highly encouraging though.
Spurs have so often been outclassed when coming up against the Premier League’s title contenders, but they proved their class here.
And had Son and Kane been in more ruthless form, Conte may well have had three points to celebrate, rather than just one.
