According to the French media Liberation, Hayao Miyazaki He is already looking to make his next film. This is how its producer explained it Toshio Suzuki, who assures that the director cannot stop working and that he is constantly looking for more projects. Even more touching is that he believes he will never stop collaborating with him, even if they both reach an older age and he wants to continue with animation.

He thinks about his next project every day. I can’t stop it anymore, I’ve already given up. In life, he only loves his work. We talked recently and he said something incredible to me ‘By the way, what was my last movie about? I don’t even remember anymore. And then he started talking to me about his new project, so I’m not going to stop him. As long as he works, I’m not going to retire. He is 82 years old, I think he will continue until he is 90 and I will be there with him.

Although no further details were offered about his next film, his fans will surely be satisfied simply knowing that he has no plans to retire and that he already has some ideas in mind. For now, fans will have to wait for The Boy and the Heron – 100%.

That film, which had its North American premiere at the last Toronto Film Festival, is about a young man who loses his mother. Failing to adapt to her new life without her, he ends up traveling to a magical world where the living and the dead coexist and where he believes it will be possible for him to reunite with her there. The film has been a success with critics and is one of the most anticipated feature films of the year. In fact it still is.

The first trailer and official look at the film arrived just last month, when a distributor acquired the title for exhibition in the United States and Canada.
