Kim Kardashian expressed concern that her future boyfriends will be “scared” of her ex-husband Kanye West.
“There’s a part of me that is like, ‘Oh my God, is everyone gonna be scared because I don’t have the easiest ex?’” the reality TV icon, 42, said on Monday’s episode of the “Angie Martinez IRL” podcast.
“I don’t think that’s fair for me to ever put someone in a situation or bring a new person in who could be super innocent,” she continued. “Then there’s a side of me that’s like, ‘Why would I ever have to live that way?’”
Elsewhere in her chat with host Angie Martinez, Kardashian, 42, cried over the struggles of co-parenting with West, 45, as his behavior became increasingly controversial this year.
“It’s really f–king hard,” admitted the “Kardashians” star, who shares North, 9, Saint, 7, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3, with the rapper.
The former couple finalized their divorce on Nov. 29. Kardashian originally filed in February 2021 after seven years of marriage.
West, who failed to win Kardashian back despite several public attempts, has made headlines this year for designing “White Lives Matter” apparel, a barrage of anti-Semitic attacks and allegedly showing pornography — including explicit photos of Kardashian — to ex-employees.
Although Kardashian sometimes fears that West’s reputation will frighten potential suitors, she insisted that she is in the “fun zone” of being single.
“I don’t know if I’ll get married again, but I’ll have my forever partner. I know that. He’s coming, absolutely,” she told Martinez, 51. “I’m at peace and I’m gonna have fun until that happens.”
The first person Kardashian dated after splitting from West was comedian Pete Davidson. They began dating in October 2021 but eventually called it quits this August.
During Kardashian’s relationship with Davidson, 29, West frequently lashed out at the “Saturday Night Live” alum via social media — which the Skims founder did not appreciate.
Back in February, the mother of four publicly called West out for posting threatening messages about Davidson — whom the musician infamously referred to as “Skeet” — online.
“Divorce is difficult enough on our children,” she said in a statement at the time, “and Kanye’s obsession with trying to control and manipulate our situation so negatively and publicly is only causing further pain for all.”
