Money Heist: K-drama release date
- A release date for the K-drama version of Money Heist has not yet been announced. However, we expect a release of the series in late 2021 or possibly early 2022.
Neither production companies for the series, ‘BH Entertainment’ or ‘Contents Zium’ have released statements to say when the series will be released. Netflix announced the production of the series in November 2020, so is expected to be available on their streaming site when it releases. Alex Pina the creator of the Spanish series said about the Korean remake “Korean creators have been developing their own language and audiovisual culture for years. They have managed, like our series, to go beyond cultural borders and become a point of reference for thousands of viewers around the world”.
To stream the series when it releases, you will need a subscription. A basic subscription to Netflix’s service costs £5.99GBP/$8.36USD a month. Prices can vary depending on the plan you choose.

Money Heist: K-drama plot explained
Please note: This article contains spoilers for the series.
The premise of the series is expected to follow the same story as its Spanish counterpart. It will follow the events of a crime as it unravels. The series is led by ‘The Professor’ and his plan of carrying out a heist.
For his plan to work he chooses a ragtag team with code names and each with their own unique personalities. The team face a situation they were not prepared for after they take on hostages.
The series plot is expected to last at least 12 episodes, according to the announcement by Netflix (above). It has not yet been confirmed if the series will run for longer than 1 season, even though La Casa De Papel is now filming its 5th and final season. This is due to the fact that, Korean Drama’s tend to only have one season for many shows. More information will be confirmed closer to the time of the series release. Alternative titles for the series are ‘Jongiui Jib’ and ‘House of Paper’.
