A new trailer has been revealed for the long-awaited film Napoleon, an epic historical drama directed by Ridley Scott, which will be presented in theaters worldwide thanks to Sony Pictures Entertainment at the end of next November. Subsequently, the film will be available exclusively on the Apple TV+ platform.
The film tells the fascinating story of the iconic French Emperor, Napoleon Bonaparte, and is played by Oscar-winning Joaquin Phoenix. The plot focuses on the complex rise and decline of Napoleon, showing his volatile and passionate relationship with Josephine, played by Vanessa Kirby, his true and only love. The film explores his visionary political and military tactics, including some of the most dynamic battle scenes ever captured on screen.
David Scarpa, who previously worked with Scott on All the Money in the World, is the screenwriter behind this Apple Original Film project. “Napoleon” is produced by Apple Studios and Scott Free Productions, with the participation of Kevin Walsh, Mark Huffam, Ridley Scott and Joaquin Phoenix himself as producers. Michael Pruss and Aidan Elliott stand out as executive producers.
The cast is completed with big names such as Ludivine Sagnier, Ben Miles, Tahar Rahim, Ian McNeice, Matthew Needham, Paul Rhys and John Hollingworth. The release date in theaters in the United States is scheduled for November 22, while in Spain it is expected for November 24.
Additionally, Ridley Scott has confirmed that an extended version of the film exists, lasting more than four hours.
