This Saturday 8/20, Nikki O’Neill is teaching two super fun guitar workshops: “History of Women in Rock Guitar” and “Soul Guitar”.
Both are online, only $25/each and they’ll give you a taste of the 8-week, in-person, classes she’ll be running in September:
-Guitar 4: SOUL: Get an intro to R&B/soul chords and funky strums by learning songs by Sly Stone, Aretha, Curtis Mayfield, Stevie Wonder, Nina Simone, Al Green, Bill Withers, Prince, and The Staple Singers!
-Women’s Road to Rock Guitar – Play It & Learn the History: Learn the foundations of rock rhythm and lead guitar, and the basics of pickups/amps/effects pedals + explore how women evolved the genre from Memphis Minnie to Jennifer Batten to Courtney Barnett!
