In a news release, the SQ said Bruce Patterson had been arrested on Thursday. He appeared in court Friday in St-Jérôme, Que., to face charges including producing child pornography, obtaining sexual services for consideration from a person under 18 and invitation to sexual touching.
“The investigation tends to show that the suspect could have had other victims,” in Quebec and Ontario. Grenville-sur-la-Rouge is on the Quebec side of the Ottawa River north of Hawkesbury, but an SQ spokesperson added that the man was known to travel to Ottawa occasionally.
Anyone with information about the case was asked to contact the Sûreté du Québec criminal information centre at 1-800-659-4264.
