Rebecca English, The Daily Mail’s Royal Editor, has called Prince Harry’s decision to miss his grandfather’s memorial service a “slap in the face to the Queen.” Harry will not return home to join his family at the occasion to celebrate his grandfather’s life, it has been confirmed. While no reason has been given, it has been widely speculated that his ongoing battles over his security arrangements and the lack of police protection if he comes to the UK, are the reasons. There has been uproar as the news came within minutes of Harry’s team also announcing that he would be attending the Invictus Games in the Hague in April. Ms English continued: “This has obviously surprised a lot of people… to travel to Europe to go to that, but not to his grandfather’s memorial service has, to use a well-worn phrase, got people’s goat.”
