If it’s got “Galaxy” in the name, then you know it’s going to have a lot to live up to. The Galaxy Book Pro 360 looks set to be Samsung’s premier Windows convertible with features that rival the best prosumer laptops from Dell, HP, or Lenovo.
Alongside the 13.3-inch Galaxy Book Pro and 15.6-inch Galaxy Book Pro clamshell announcements are the 13.3-inch Galaxy Book Pro 360 and 15.6-inch Galaxy Book Pro 360 convertibles. As implied by their names, these 360 models are the convertible versions of their respective clamshell counterparts with some differences in weight, thickness, and ports.
Perhaps the most notable difference between the clamshell and convertibles models is that the 13.3-inch convertible version will have optional 5G connectivity. It will also support up to 16 GB of LPDDR4x RAM whereas the 13.3-inch clamshell will be limited to just 8 GB and only 4G LTE.
Other differences include the lack of both USB-A and HDMI ports on the convertibles whereas both are present on the clamshells. The Core i5-1135G7 and Core i7-1165G7 Tiger Lake CPU options remain identical between all models.
Samsung will launch the 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch Galaxy Book Pro 360 convertibles for $1199 and $1299 USD, respectively, on May 14. Pre-orders are live as of today. To sweeten the deal for early adopters, users who purchase a convertible model from Amazon or Best Buy between April 28 and May 13 will receive a $150 gift card for Amazon or Best Buy.
