Officers of the Southern Division Task Force (SDTF) have arrested and charged three men for possession of marijuana.
The arrests were made during an anti-crime exercise conducted in the Southern Division on Saturday, coordinated by Snr Supt Winchester, Supt Jackman, Supt Carty, and ASP Ramdass, supervised by Sgt Joseph, Sgt Charles and Acting/Cpl Bahadur.
The officers executed search warrants for illegal firearms and ammunition in the Princes Town and Moruga districts.
During the search, Steve Hosein, 45, of Seudath Avenue, Princes Town was charged for possession of nine marijuana plants.
Keron Ramcharan, 33, of Moruga Road, Indian Walk was charged for possession of 75 grammes of marijuana and Kent La Rode, 47, of La Lune Road, Moruga, was charged for possession of 150 grammes of marijuana.
As the exercise continued, a small marijuana field was discovered about 50 feet from St Clair Road, Marac Village, Moruga where 200 marijuana trees were uprooted and destroyed.
In addition, seven kilograms of marijuana was found about 150 feet away from the La Lune Road, Moruga.
