A woman has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after she received significant burns in Werribee South this morning.
Police have been told the woman was in the front yard of a home in Rivercoast Road when the incident occurred about 2am.
Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident which is believed to have occurred following a dispute.
The woman, believed aged in her 30s, has been airlifted to a hospital in Melbourne.
Two other people received minor injuries during the incident.
A man and two women are currently assisting police with their enquiries.
A crime scene has been established and it is expected detectives will attend the scene today.
