Tai Tuivasa scored an incredible knockout at UFC 269 and then got the seal of approval from WWE legend Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Tuivasa scored his fourth-straight UFC knockout victory after a nasty left hook that was followed with a furious flurry of punches left Brazilian Augusto Sakai out cold.
To celebrate, Tuivasa had a ‘shoey,’ which means he drank beer from his shoe, something particularly popular in his homeland of Australia.
The biggest beer swelling superstar of all-time, WWE legend Stone Cold Steve Austin, tweeted his approval for Tuivasa’s celebration.
The Texas Rattlesnake tweeted: “A+ and a Hell Yeah!!!”
Tuivasa, 28, came out to Aqua’s 90’s pop hit ‘Barbie Girl,’ and while not many heavyweights or any UFC fighters could get away with that, the Aussie continues to viciously knock out his foes.
When asked why he chose Barbie girl for his walk out theme, Tuivasa said: “Because I’m a barbie girl.”
“Las Vegas,” Tuivasa roared in his post-fight interview. “Insane!”
“Like I said in my past interviews, I feel I’m getting better and better at this sport. I heard my corner say ‘that left’s opening him up.’ I just had to stay on my edge and just stalk him and hunt him down.”
“I said it before, I’m a banger from fing Western Sydney and I’ll bang on with anyone.”
Along with England’s Tom Aspinall, Tuivasa is one of the most exciting prospects in the heavyweight division right now and his next fight is bound to be someone inside the top 10.
You can expect plenty more knockouts and shoeys to come.
